Intro to the project
Beautiful house for a Doctor couple living with their parents and 2 small kids wanted home with 4 Bedroom, Living and family room, dining area, kitchen, study, home theatre and spa toilet.
Client brief
Mr. and Mrs. Bhalani, a Doctor Couple where one is cardiologist and other is paediatrician. They were well aware with our work style and philosophy. They wanted a kid friendly and open house plan with maximum light and ventilation to be carried out all across. Colour Palette requirement was of light and white as much as possible with play of few extract colours at few areas which give good overall break to the palette.
Exterior
Exterior is Developed using very Basic and Bold elements of architecture to create a standout facade, Having concrete blocks with skewed dimension & cut-outs. Addition of Unbaked Clay tile in elevation makes it stand-out with bold Madder Red colour. Front Entry part is double heighted volume with a ceramic art from an Artist Devesh Upadhyay & a meditative metal Sculpture symbolize of soul with a lotus as a base being conceptualized by Dipen Gada himself and shaped up by Prashant Gurjar who is part of our team DGA and fabricated by Mehul Panchal.
Exactly above this there’s balcony which is attached to Master Bedroom balcony. Formal living at Ground Floor & Master Bedroom at First Floor is facing front side of the plot. Internal passage is well lighted through Structural glazing in front elevation, same time it connects passage to the garden outside. Internal Staircase of the house is having a huge 6′ diameter skylight to increase day light penetration to the house.
List of spaces on Ground floor
Entire house is Vaastu Compliant. On ground Floor, there’s living room, Double heighted family room and Puja area, Dining, Kitchen (having store & utility) and a Multipurpose room for kids which can be converted into a Guest room.
User can directly Step out to the Garden from Formal Living room & Similarly family room is connected to Patio which is having a nice semi covered outdoor sit-out.
List of spaces on First floor
On First Floor, there are three bed rooms Parents, Kids & Master room along with two balconies. Toilet of Master & kid rooms having articulated skylight to create dramatic play of light & shadow.
List of spaces on Second floor
On Second Floor, there’s a Home theatre attached with a Fantasy toilet which opens up to a private terrace garden. Rest of the part is terrace which can be used as a spill out space.
Foyer
Foyer outside the entry is needful and cozy. It is separated from the living room through a partition. The partition has flueted glass and calm and soothing colour. Also, small unit is been designed for shoes, which provides seating facility as well.
Living Room
Living room has a spill out into the garden area on one side. The colour palate is soothing and calm overall. To break the monotony of white blue colour has been used.
Kitchen
Overall ambience of grey and wood.
Family Room
Once can enter into the family area by coming straight through the foyer. It is a double heighted area which spills over dining area on one side and opens up into a
Dining Area
It is a well crafted double heighted area where staircase is on the backdrop with entrance to kitchen on one side and one can enter into it directly through the foyer area.
Puja Room
There is a double heighted puja room adjacent to the family room, it has glass door with designer film in it. It has a beautiful idol of Lord Mahavir in it. One can see a beautiful sciography on the floor falling from the metal grill at the back.
Staircase Area
Behind the dining room is staircase which is one of the highlights of the project, and the staircase is of RCC with wooden tappa on it. The wall has micro topping with brass pati. There is a nice round skylight on top which gives a nice warm ambience to the area. It also has a beautiful chandelier hanging from there, which comes down till first floor.
Kids Room
There is a sofa cum bed which was made onsite with using bring and playful colours in the room as the kids are very young.
Master Room
Bed back is panelling of cement sheet with leaf engraving in it. The opposite wall is study table which has RCC wall.
Home Theatre
Home theatre is made of wooden pati on wall, flooring is wooden, ceiling has fabric panelling for acoustic
